Invisalign in Torrance CA

Invisalign is a great alternative to metal braces. A simple, complimentary consultation with Drs. Adams and Whitaker at our Torrance, CA office can help determine if Invisalign is right to meet your smile needs.

How does Invisalign work?

Unlike traditional metal or clear braces, which require permanent brackets and wires to move teeth, Invisalign uses a system of clear, removable tray aligners that gently guide teeth to their correct positions. Since the aligners are removable, you can eat, drink, brush, and floss normally, without worrying about breaking a wire.

In order for Invisalign to work, you must be committed to wearing your aligners 21 hours per day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss. Each set of aligners are worn for about two weeks. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move, slowly but surely, into their straightened positions.

You'll visit Adams – Whitaker Orthodontics about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time typically lasts 12 to 18 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both numbers will vary from case to case.

Why choose Invisalign for your orthodontic treatment?

  • Invisalign aligners are clear, so you can straighten your smile without the need for metal wires and brackets.
  • Invisalign aligners are removable, so you can eat and drink whatever you want, and brush and floss normally.
  • Invisalign aligners are comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
  • Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
